Salin Plus Filter is used in conjunction with Salin Plus Air Purifier. Salin Plus helps people suffering with asthma, COPD, bronchitis, sinusitis, snoring, allergies and other respiratory conditions.
The Salin Plus salt cartridge includes a G4 Pre Filter that removes 98% of airborne pollutants (at least 10 micron in size), including bacteria, mold spores and pollen.
Each Salin Plus filter last for roughly 4 to 6 months depending on frequency of usage and other factors.

What is Salt Therapy?
Salt therapy is the inhalation of very fine salt particles.
Salt is used for two reasons: it is negatively charged, like oxygen, and therefore has the ability to fight anaerobic respiratory infections and through osmosis, draws mucus away from the airways.
Mucus plays a vital role in our respiratory system as it traps allergens, bacteria and viruses. If mucus is not removed from the lungs it becomes toxic, decreasing lung volume and obstructing airways.
The presence of tiny salt particles through salt therapy gently draws the fluid away from the mucus, shrinking and drying it out. This will allow for easier breathing and a better night sleep.
How Do I Change My Salin Plus Filter?
Changing your Salin Plus filter is quick and easy!
- Simply remove the power cord from the back of the device.
- Unclip the front cover at the base of the unit and remove it.
- Turn the device face down (ideally on a towel to catch any loose crystals or debris) and gently shake it until the old filter cartridge comes free.
- Place the new cartridge in the device with the salt crystals facing outward into the room, and the groove at the base of the filter is in line with the device.
- When the filter is firmly in place, clip base of cover in first, then snap in the top clips.
Once cleaned Salin Plus Filters can be recycled!
How Often Should I Change My Salin Plus Filer?
Typically 4 to 6 months of recommended nightly use, you should consider changing your Salin Plus Filter Cartridge.
Salin Plus works by generating a gentle airflow to break off micro salt particles from larger crystals and disperse them into the ambient air. The effectiveness degrades over time. The filter cartridge will always remain full of salt, however, after 4 to 6 months of use, the device can no longer disperse any further particles.
In addition to this, the G4 pre-filter will have also collected dust and other pollutants from the air reducing the airflow which in turn can reduce the efficiency by the end of the four-month period.
How Do I Know When To Change My Salin Plus Filter?
The best tip is to schedule four-monthly reminders to replace your filter, and assess the need from there. We also recommend pre-purchasing your filters so you can do a quick and easy change over! (If you pre-purchase your filters, be sure to store them in a dry and cool place to avoid moisture damage.)

The Salin Plus salt filter cartridge has a shelf life of two years. If not in use please store in a cool, dry place in its original packaging.
