At Kennedy’s Pharmacy, you will be able to get advice and free treatment from our pharmacist for minor illnesses and ailments such as:

  • Mouth Ulcers
  • Oral Thrush
  • Athlete’s Foot
  • Groin area infection
  • Sweat rash
  • Diarrhoea
  • Headlice
  • Threadworms
  • Vaginal Thrush

Who is eligible for this service?

Anyone can access this service; it is an NHS service for everyone, including children. It will save you the delay and inconvenience of making an appointment with your GP simply to get a prescription.

Why go to your pharmacist first?

  • Our pharmacists are trained to deal with minor ailments.
  • You will receive quick,expert advice without the need to see your GP.
  • GPs will be able to spend more time focusing on those patients that really need their input

Referral to your GP

If our pharmacist feels that it is better for you to see your GP, then they may refer you to see your GP directly or tell you to make an appointment.

What is a minor ailment?

This is a common illness such as diarrhoea, mouth ulcers, athlete’s foot where the pharmacist can give advice and treatment without the need to see a GP.

Who can use this service?

It is open to everyone, including children.
